Claims, and where each one stands.
Three of seven confirmed, after the audit item resolved from announced to confirmed during verification for this issue.
cETH is live. The project's own channel describes cETH issued natively on Canton under CIP-56, integrations are live on HandlPay and in Rocky Wallet, and a whitepaper sets out the lock, mint, burn and release relayer design.
Project channel and whitepaper, retrieved 28 Aug 2026Official ecosystem status. cETH by onRails is listed on Digital Asset's cantonecosystem.com, the same primary surface accepted for Cantex in issue 02.
cantonecosystem.com listing, retrieved 28 Aug 2026Independent audit. Consensys Diligence lists cETH, April 2026, on its own public audits index. The first pass found only a secondary report attributing the audit, which is worth zero; the auditor's own index is the form the source test asks for, so this moved from announced to confirmed before the issue published and the dashed riser resolves with it.
diligence.security public audits index, resolved LIVE 28 Aug 2026Canton Foundation membership. The line appears on onrails.finance, which makes it a project claim regardless of who it names, so it sits at announced until the Foundation's own register carries it.
onrails.finance, project claim, retrieved 28 Aug 2026No project token. cETH is a wrapped asset representation, not a project token, and no onRails token statement was located. Intent sits at 0 on the same reasoning that puts every unstated project there.
Token existence check run 28 Aug 2026// what would move the score
Catalysts, each with its falsifier.
The Canton Foundation's own register naming onRails moves the membership claim off announced. Falsifier: the claim stays on the project's site alone.
A named custodian for the ETH reserves, published by that custodian, would open the institutional counterparty item, which is the clearest remaining route to 4 of 7. Falsifier: reserves stay attested by the project without a named regulated party.
Named leadership published anywhere primary would open the legal entity item. Falsifier: the operator stays a company name with no people attached.
// what I could not verify
Gaps.
These are findings, not omissions. I looked and state what I found.
Leadership names. Operated by onRails, leadership not publicly named.
Institutional counterparty. A Cancore partnership appears in secondary coverage. No entity passing the institution definition confirms a relationship from its own channel.
Reserve attestation. No independent attestation of the one to one ETH backing was located in this pass.
Named backers. No backers named by the project with third party verification.
Disclosure: this page names Canton Coin and integrations with HandlPay and Rocky. I hold $CC, $CNTN and $HANDL. The full conflicts register is on the disclosure page. onRails has no commercial relationship with Canton Catalyst. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
